Summer is over and Fall is definitely in the air. Or maybe I should say it’s in the “hair.”
I don’t know about you, but summer sure did a number on my hair. All the messy buns, pool days, and days lounging in the sun has left it feeling a bit weak and dry. It’s about time I break out all our favorite hair products and get it back into shape. In case you can relate, here are my top 5 favorite hair products at the moment (and no, this is not a promotional post but rather just products I simply love).
Davines Oi Oil
Before you tell me you have oily hair and can’t imagine adding more to your hair, I do too. And yet I can’t live without this Davines Oi Oil.
Whether I wash my hair that day or not, I use this product daily. You can use it on both wet hair or dry hair. All you need to do is apply a few squirts to the ends of your hair. It hydrates, protects it from styling tools and adds shine while also detangling and taming frizz. It doesn’t get much better than that – oh other than the fact that one bottle can last 6+ months.
Davines Your Hair Assistant Definition Mist
Let’s be honest, I don’t wash my hair everyday. I mean, who really has time for that?
But on the days I do wash it, my hair has some extreme volume. On those days, I need a little help taming the frizz so I use this fab Definition Mist. It helps create a “day old” effect on my freshly washed hair. It even adds a little bit of shine – without it looking oily (aka you won’t need to wash it again the next day just because it looks “lived in.”)
Kevin Murphy Bedroom.Hair + Doo.Over
I know I just said my hair has some major volume on days I wash it. But on days I don’t, it can look flat, flat, flat. On these days, I need a little help from my friend Kevin Murphy. I’m obsessed with two of his finishing sprays – Bedroom.Hair and Doo.Over. Both are dry finishing hairsprays – one is just a bit stronger and heavier than the other. Bedroom.Hair adds texture and separation for that “lived-in” look, but also leaves it moveable. Doo.Over on the other hand has a bit more holding power. Both work like a charm. Oh and they smell divine too. Don’t be surprised if people even compliment you on how yummy you smell.
Olaplex No.3 Hair Protector
You know how I told you summer did some damage on my hair? Well Olaplex No.3 Hair Protector is just the fix. While you can get Olaplex treatments done in the salon (which I highly recommend), this product allows you to keep up with it at home too. It helps repair damage to all hair types and helps extend the results of the in-salon treatment. Just apply it once a week and you’ll soon be looking like J-Lo, Kim Kardashian and Gwyneth Paltrow (all users of this product). Or so I tell myself.
There you have it. These are my current hair product obsessions. They’re just too good not to share. And trust me, I’ve tried more than I’d like to admit. Give them a try. Your hair will thank you.
Xoxo,
Hayley
