*Cue the song Hello Seattle By Owl City*
Seattle holds a special place in our hearts. We grew up going to Seattle many times a year. Either to do our annual shopping spree, see family, shop, shop, shop… did I say shop?
Luckily for us, we are a hop, skip, and a jump away by car, or a 30 minute flight!
Because we have visited so many times, I thought I would share our itinerary for our getaway weekend. I think it is so important to explore, find new things to see, try new workout classes, and yummy food. Thanks to my amazing Seattle local friends, they hooked us up for a fabulous jammed packed weekend!
Friday Night
Arrive at Hotel
Staying in the center of the city was our main focus. With Seattle being a walking city, we knew we wanted to be centrally located to everything! We were lucky enough to stay at the Westin Hotel. What a gorgeous hotel it is. We were even more surprised when we walked into our room and found that it was beyond spacious, but yet we had a killer view of the water. (see upper left photo)
Walk to Pike Place
While Pike Place Market is iconic to Seattle, it is always a joy to visit. Street vendors, flowers galore, the first Starbucks (but not really), the ever famous bakeries and restaurants, and let’s not forget all the fish throwing… it is a must see place to visit. I can promise you that you won’t regret it. I know if I lived in Seattle I would be stopping by each week to get my fresh fruit and flowers for my coffee table!
Cocktails at The Nest
We always joke that it never rains in Seattle. We say that because every time we visit, it is always sunny and warm! No joke! It was so gorgeous out that our friends insisted we go to the rooftop bar called The Nest. Let me tell you, it is packed, so arrive a little before 5pm if you can to snag a table or couch. This swanky lounge was filled with motivated, energized, professionals. This after work lounge had amazing energy and we even traded some business cards with a startup app company and chatted with a professional that knows Mark Zuckerburg personally. It is a fab spot to grab some cocktails and watch the sun set. (see bottom right photo)
Dinner at The Carlile Room

Saturday Coffee at the Iconic Cherry Street Coffee (See upper left photo) Spin Class at Burn Cycle on Cap Hill
My bestie and I just love to go to spin class, so it is no surprise that when we are together, we block out time to go. This new studio just opened up and I am so glad she found it because we needed a lil detox after our Friday night cocktails! It is also walking distance from our hotel – less than a mile away. Grab your coffee on the way and enjoy the pre-workout warm up.
Capitol Hill for Breakfast- Eltana Wood Fired Bagel Cafe (see bottom left photo)
Does this even need an additional description?… Wood fired.. yes it is the best!
Window Shop
After breakfast, we went back to our hotel to get ready for the day. We ended up walking back up to Cap Hill so we could window shop and check out all the amazing boutiques! I recommend having no agenda and just enjoy walking around and perusing all the amazing little shops!
Lunch at Poquitos (see upper right photo)
When in Seattle, eat eat eat! My friends took us to this delicious Mexican restaurant last time we were in town so we insisted that we eat there again! With queso that is off the charts, fresh guacamole, large portions, and yummy cocktails, you will leave feeling happy, full, and glad you went to spin!
Enjoy your Walk downtown and hit up the shopping center!

Sunday Coffee at the Top Pot Doughnuts (see upper right photo)
I stumbled upon this coffee shop when I was in a rush to get some caffeine! Naturally, I told myself I was only going to get coffee, but let’s be honest here…. their doughnuts looked off the charts delicious! So, I couldn’t resist and got just one for 4 of us to share. The only mistake I made was that I should have gotten 2! This beautiful coffee shop was styled to perfection. I wanted to snuggle up in a chair, eat some doughnuts and sip on my hot steaming coffee!
Brunch at Skillet Diner
Brunch is always a must, and Skillet was AMAZING! Seriously so dang good I highly recommend it! It was 2 blocks away from our hotel, so it was a win-win! The only critique is that they only have drip coffee, so I had to run up the street to Top Pot to grab a latte. The taste of the food and portion size made up for that though. Luckily, Seattle is filled with coffee shops galore so it was no biggie running up the street to grab one! You can tell I love food.
Walk down the block and check out Amazon's new building! Walk around the area and enjoy the view (see bottom left photo)
For those who follow our blog trips, you’ve probably noticed a consistent theme – we love wandering around. Why we push this so hard is because when you aren’t in a hurry to see specific things, you end up seeing more than you could have planned. We value not rushing through trips to get it all in, but instead we encourage a relaxed, nonchalant, explorer-method when travelling.
Seahawks Game!

I can't wait to get back to Seattle and visit my besties soon! If you find new places I should explore, comment below! I am always down to see and experience new things! Ciao, Ashley
