Hi glammers! The glam girls are back!
After taking some time off to focus on a few life changes, we are back and excited to share with you our travel tips and adventures!
Recently, my boyfriend and I took a quick trip down to Orlando, Florida to visit Disney World! As I’m sure you’ve read before, my sisters and I are Disney LOVERS! Being from Washington State, we grew up going to Disneyland in California, but never to Disney World…so this was a first time for me! Luckily, my boyfriend used to live near Orlando and visited the parks often, so he knew all of the tips and tricks for getting around the parks efficiently.
As we all know, COVID has really changed the travel world and as a result, Disney World looked a little different than it normally would. Here’s a guide for getting the most out of your trip and also what to expect as there are some definite changes!

You first must make a reservation for the park you want to visit.
Making a reservation for a theme park seems like a foreign concept, but it’s actually a fairly simple process. Log onto your account and review which days are available and open for reservations. As expected, weekends fill up faster than weekdays. We opted for a Monday as we expected lines to be shorter, and we were right!
If you plan to do a park hopper pass, all you have to do is reserve the park that you want to visit first. Once 2:00pm hits, you can take a shuttle bus to the next park you’d like to visit and go right in.
Just like anywhere else, your mask must stay on the entire time (unless you’re actively eating or drinking)
Although by now we are all so accustomed to wearing a mask most places, wearing one all day in a hot climate was rather difficult! The Disney staff and cast monitor guests closely and will ensure that you’re following all the guidelines.

Lines seem to be a bit shorter during this time.
Levi and I hardly waited in line for longer than 30 mins in both Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom (with the exception of Splash Mountain)! While of course, each day is going to look a little bit different, these lines were shorter than we had seen before.
FastPass is currently suspended due to COVID.
Unfortunately, FastPass is not available right now, but with the lines being seemingly a bit shorter, it wasn’t a deal breaker for us!
Research your Hotel’s Shuttle Options (Some are temporarily suspended).
Since we didn’t want to rent a car in Orlando, we wanted to find a hotel that offered transportation to the parks. While the Disney Resort Hotels are so nice and close to the parks, we opted for something a little more cost effective.
While the Caribe Royale Orlando resort wasn’t currently offering shuttles to and from the park due to COVID, they did reimburse expenses for one round trip Uber or Lyft ride per day. This was such a nice offer and made our trips to and from the park a breeze!

And don’t forget your special treat! I think you can tell by the way I’m looking at this ice cream bar that I really do believe Disney World is the happiest place on earth!
All in all, during this uncertain time, we felt like Disney was taking all the necessary precautions to keep all the guests safe and still allow for fun to be had! Until next time…
Kisses!
xoxo, Abs
